It’s a pseudo kind of freedom where the woman or women say to themselves, “If I could do what I want, then I’d be free.” Or, to be more specific, “If I could avoid the responsibility of obedience to God, I could be free.” To get even more specific, “If I could simply get rid of this child, which is a blatant expression of disobedience to God, then I could really be free.”
