Meet Our Pastor

Victory Baptist Church views the Biblical words ‘overseer,’ ‘elder,’ and ‘pastor & teacher’ as describing one of the two positions of a New Testament church, the office commonly referred to as ‘pastor.’ The only other church position prescribed in the New Testament is that of deacon.

David Anderson is currently the only individual serving as an elder at Victory Baptist Church. In October, 2025, the church recognized David as an elder after he expressed his desire to for the office (1Timothy 3:1). David was saved at the age of 16 and has been a member of Victory Baptist Church since 1993. David and his wife Amey have been married since 2018. David received a BA degree with majors in Christianity and Political Science from Houston Baptist University (now Houston Christian University) in 1974 and an MBA from the University of Houston in 1978. He worked in financial services for over 43 years before retiring at the end of 2021.

David came to an understanding of the truth of God’s sovereignty in salvation while in college and has been firmly committed to spreading the teaching of God’s sovereignty in all things since then.
